D’vorah is back with me for a two-part message on Redressing the Messiah. Have we redressed Jesus to make Him look less like the Jewish man and Messiah and more like a Gentile Savior? He is both, but how does that turn the Jewish people away from Him? Listen in to hear out discussion on this topic and more.
The Scriptures:
– on provoking the Jews to jealousy/zealousness: Romans 11:11-14
– on dressing the High Priest Aaron: Exodus 28:3-6, Leviticus 8
– on Messiah being the Prophet like Moses Deuteronomy 18:15
– on the four things required of the Gentiles Acts 15:19-21
– on the yoke of the Torah/Kingdom Matthew 11:29-30

Much to consider. Thank you ladies.
So interesting. Addressing a question I’ve long had about how we help the Jews to become jealous. I’ve long seen Joseph’s story as a picture of Christ’s first and second coming. The first time he speaks of his dream of lordship and his brothers reject him for it. Then he goes to the Gentiles (Egypt) who eventually accept him as a leader. The first time he stands in that role before his brothers, they don’t recognize him but the second time they do. Your discussion just fleshes out the beautiful story of Jew and Gentile welcoming the King together. Love it and learning so much.
I love D’vorah! She is a great teacher. I’m so glad you are learning from my podcast. Believe me, I am too.
